Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all mentoring and coaching services provided by Signature Life Guide ("the Guide") to any individual or organisation ("the Client") and constitute the entire agreement between both parties.

The term "Signature Life Guide" includes personal development mentoring, academic coaching, parent consultation, educational advisory services, executive coaching, and life guidance. Where relevant, it includes all related communication via phone, email, video call, or messaging platforms.

By booking any session with Signature Life Guide, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Nature of the Service

The services provided by Signature Life Guide are designed to offer strategic support, coaching, mentoring, tutoring, academic guidance, and emotional insight. These services are not clinical in nature and should not be considered a replacement for medical, psychiatric, or licensed psychological intervention.

Signature Life Guides are not acting as therapists, licensed mental health professionals, or medical practitioners, but highly experienced educational professionals.

Signature Life Guide offers one-on-one, personalised support in the following areas:

Life Mentoring / coaching
Academic Coaching / tutoring / support
Subject Tutoring / support
Emotional and Wellbeing Support (Compassionate Listening)
General Life Advice and Guidance

Services may be delivered online or in person, based on agreement and availability.

Clients Under the Age of 18

For clients under the age of 18:

Parental or guardian consent is required prior to beginning services.
We may request confirmation of this consent in writing.
A parent/guardian may be informed of general progress or concerns, unless there is a safeguarding reason not to.
Sessions for minors will not cover topics deemed inappropriate for their age and will always be delivered with child protection principles in mind.
Signature Life Guide is committed to safeguarding children and adheres to best practices in accordance with Swiss and international safeguarding guidelines.

Clients under the age of 18 may only access and use the services of Signature Life Guide with the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian. By engaging our services on behalf of a minor, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have reviewed and accepted these Terms and Conditions and expressly authorise the minor’s participation. Signature Life Guide reserves the right to request proof of such consent at any time and to suspend or terminate services if appropriate authorisation cannot be verified.

2. Coaching Disclaimer

By entering into a coaching or mentoring relationship with Signature Life Guide, the Client acknowledges and agrees that:

The service is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, medical, or psychological care.
The Guide is not diagnosing or treating mental health disorders.
The Client is fully responsible for their own decisions, wellbeing, and outcomes during and after sessions.
No specific results are guaranteed, including academic admission, personal transformation, or professional advancement.
Any suggestions made are to support the Client’s goals and are not directives. Advice will only be given on request
You understand that the coaching services you receive are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health or medical conditions. Your Guide is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional.
For legal purposes, you understand that coaching is currently an unregulated industry, and your Guide is not “licensed” by an accredited body, irrespective of where sessions occur
You understand and agree that you bear sole responsibility for your well-being during your coaching sessions and subsequently, including all your choices and decisions.
You understand that coaching/mentoring is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, or substance abuse treatment, and you will not use it in place of any form of therapy.
You understand that all comments and ideas offered by your Guide are solely for the purpose of aiding you in achieving the defined goals mutually established with your Guide. You affirm your ability to give informed consent and hereby grant such consent for your Guide to assist you in achieving such goals. You acknowledge that specific results are not guaranteed.
You understand that to the extent our work together involves personal development, your Guide does not promise specific outcomes, including but not limited to trauma recovery, personal introspection, increased personal happiness, career progression, profitability, and/or business success.
Personal details and session notes are stored securely and used solely to personalise and improve future sessions.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.
Clients may request access to, or deletion of, their personal data at any time, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

3. Confidentiality and The Confessional

Signature Life Guide provides a safe, confidential space known as “The Confessional”, where clients may speak freely about their concerns, challenges, and personal experiences. Clients must be aged 18 or over to use The Confessional services

However, please note:

Illegal activity must not be disclosed during sessions. Signature Life Guide cannot offer protection, legal immunity, or confidentiality regarding such disclosures.
Confidentiality will always be broken if there is a risk of harm to the client or others, or if required by Swiss law.
For clients under the age of 18, appropriate parental involvement will be considered in line with the child’s wellbeing.

All client information is handled in accordance with Swiss privacy law and our Privacy Policy.

4. Booking, Scheduling & Format

Sessions may be conducted via video call, phone, or other agreed platforms.
The Client is responsible for initiating the call unless otherwise arranged.
Session length and format are agreed upon at booking and must be paid for in advance.
Sessions may overrun by mutual agreement, provided the Guide’s schedule allows.

5. Session Fees and Payment

Fees are outlined at the time of booking. Signature Life Guide reserves the right to adjust fees at any time, but existing bookings will be honoured at the original rate.
Payment must be made in advance by credit/debit card, bank transfer, or other agreed method.
Invoices and receipts are available upon request.
Where a session is booked by an individual under the age of 18, it shall be deemed that they have obtained the full consent and authorisation of the person providing payment for the session, whether that person is a parent, legal guardian, or other authorised payor. By proceeding with the booking, the underage client affirms that such consent has been secured.

6. Cancellation and Rearrangement Policy

To protect the time and availability of both parties:

At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session without charge.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged in full and are non-refundable.
If the Guide must reschedule, 48 hours' notice will be given where reasonably possible.
Pre-paid sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase unless otherwise agreed.

7. Between Sessions

Clients may contact the Guide for brief clarification or administrative purposes. Any additional coaching or mentoring between sessions may incur further charges, which will be agreed in advance.

8. Early Termination

Signature Life Guide reserves the right to end the mentoring relationship under the following circumstances:

Illness or unavailability
Behaviour deemed inappropriate or disrespectful
Conflicts of interest
Any breach of these Terms

In such cases, unused sessions will not be refunded, except in the case of illness/unavailability of the Guide.

9. Liability and Responsibilities

Signature Life Guide will provide services with reasonable care, skill, and discretion. However:

The Client remains solely responsible for their own wellbeing and their personal, academic, or professional success and decisions.
The Guide shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or disappointment resulting from participation in the service.
Results depend on the Client's commitment, choices, and readiness to engage with the process.
Signature Life Guide shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, data, or business interruption) that may arise from the use of our products or services, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Clients agree to:

Attend sessions punctually.
Engage respectfully and honestly.
Refrain from using abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language or behaviour.

We reserve the right to discontinue services if these standards are not upheld

10. Data Protection and Security

All personal data is handled in compliance with Swiss data protection regulations.
The Client understands that digital communication (email, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.) carries inherent security risks.
Confidentiality may be broken only in cases of safeguarding, legal compliance, or express written permission from the Client.

11. Feedback and Improvement

We continually strive to offer an exceptional, discreet service. Clients may be invited to provide feedback after sessions or at the conclusion of a coaching engagement.

12. Variation of Terms

Signature Life Guide reserves the right to revise these Terms with one week's written notice. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance. If the Client does not accept the revised Terms, they may cancel any future sessions and receive a refund for any unused pre-paid appointments.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and any contractual relationship between the Client and Signature Life Guide are governed exclusively by the laws of Switzerland. Any legal dispute shall be settled by the competent courts in Switzerland.

14. Waiver

You hereby release, waive, acquit, and forever discharge your Guide, along with any agents, successors, assigns, personal representatives, executors, heirs, and employees, from every claim, suit, action, demand, or right to compensation for damages you may claim to have or that you may have arising out of acts or omissions by yourself or by your Guide as a result of the advice given by your Guide or otherwise resulting from the coaching relationship contemplated by this agreement.

You further declare and represent that no promise, inducement, or agreement not explicitly expressed in this agreement has been made to you to secure your signature hereto. This agreement shall be binding upon your heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.
